End of arrangements allowing some health practitioners to become registered

On 30 June 2015, grandparenting arrangements will expire which allow some people to register as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practitioner.

People working as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health professionals are advised to seek to register now to avoid missing the 30 June deadline.

Only people who are registered with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia can use any of the titles protected under the law*. Penalties exist if you use a protected title, pretend to be registered, or lead someone to believe that you are when you are not registered with the Board.
